Email template ✉️

The email template can be used for application related notifications. It is responsive and works in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook on the web and most other email clients.

Make sure to also provide a text-only version of your email and consider using a CSS inliner tool like Mailchimp CSS Inliner Tool.

Corporate announcements

Ready-to-edit templates are available for internal email communications targeted to WFP employees:

• Pure text announcement, suitable for narrative, short announcements, with no or just one link in the body, e.g. senior staff announcements.
• Text announcement with highlight box, suitable to emphasize a piece of information in the body of the message, e.g. WFP directive announcement.
• Announcement with image, call-to-action link and teaser, suitable to promote products or services, to foster participation in campaigns, or whenever you want your audience to take an action.

System notifications

A template for automated notifications issued from corporate systems is also available in an HTML format: it is useful to inform selected users about specific activities in the system.

Examples of use cases are: ​

• A new record is added in the system and assigned a unique identifier – users need to be notified about the successful registration.​
• The status of a record is updated – users need to be notified about the changes and progress in the workflow.
• An action is needed – users need to take action for the workflow to be completed, e.g. approve, reject, request more info​.

Use with Outlook

The template can be used as copy & paste from Google Chrome into Microsoft Outlook. This method is not recommended and shall be only used if there is no other mail service available.
